This Privacy Policy applies to persons seeking potential employment with American Airlines, Inc., or certain of American Airline Inc.'s affiliates (collectively, "we", "us", "our", or "American"), including on this job application website as well as flight attendant trainees. Collection of Your Personal Information
American collects and processes personal information that you submit to us on (or generate when using) this job application website, including any CV(s) or résumé(s) that you upload and technical information about your use of the site (for example, device and browser type), as well as information collected or received from other sources (for example, professional references whom you designate), all in accordance with relevant, applicable law. This includes, without limitation:

In addition, for applicants who may travel on-site for training or other purposes, American may capture similar information from American’s computer equipment, CCTV and key card entry systems, and video recordings of company events and activities, where applicable.

In addition, if you are a flight attendant trainee, we may collect and process additional information about you, including personality test results and video interviews. Some of this information may be considered sensitive in certain jurisdictions, and we will comply with relevant, applicable law when handling such information.
Use of Your Personal Information
American will use the personal information provided in this job application and information collected from other sources for specific business purposes, including:
- Recruitment – to evaluate your application for employment with American, communicate with you about your application, conduct any necessary or appropriate background checks, comply with our diversity policy, manage any aspects of your prospective employment relationship with American.

Controller of Personal Data
To the extent that American Airlines, Inc. is subject to the laws of the European Union, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom when processing personal data (“Personal Data”), it shall be the “data controller” under such laws.
Legal Basis for Data Processing
We process Personal Data for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy, as described above. Our legal basis to process Personal Data includes processing that is:

- necessary for our legitimate interests (for example, to manage our relationship with job applicants and to improve our job application website);
